WHAT YOU SHOULD KNOW ABOUT ME:
I’m a multimedia journalist proficient in video, audio and digital journalism, and I’m deeply motivated by mission-driven work and documentary storytelling. If I’m being honest, video production was not initially my strong suit, but my recent work experience has allowed me to experiment, fail, and learn the art - and importance - of video storytelling.
My initial dream was to get into audio storytelling and have a flourishing career in investigative journalism, and in doing so, keep those in power accountable for their actions, stop corruption and prevent inequalities from disenfranchising individuals. Dreaming? Overly optimistic? Maybe, but it’s a goal I’m continually working towards.
I’ve had a plethora of diverse work experience, ranging from dishwasher, fine-dining server, nonprofit project manager, volunteer coordinator, fund manager, associate producer and the list goes on. I approach all my work with the same level of commitment, integrity and creativity, regardless of the fancy titles.
In my spare time, I snowboard in the Sierras and around the world (I can’t wait to be back in Japan), love riding a bicycle and pre-2020, my life revolved around seeing live music.
